About
The Lede
The Lede is a daily digest of what founders, builders, and operators are actually arguing about online. We read the threads so you don't have to.
What we cover
Each morning, we pull the day's most-discussed posts from:
- Hacker News — front page and top stories with comments
- r/startups
- r/SaaS
- r/entrepreneur
How it's made
We fetch the top threads, cluster them by theme, then run an LLM-powered summarizer to produce the day's briefing. Each trend includes a short summary, a "why it matters" note, and direct links to the source threads so you can read the originals.
The summarizer is Anthropic Claude. The editorial voice is opinionated but grounded — we tell you what the conversation is, not just that it's happening.
Cadence
New issue every morning around 6:00 AM Pacific Time. If you want it in your inbox, subscribe.
Editorial principles
- Signal over noise. Not every thread makes it in. We pick the ones with real conversation behind them, not just upvotes.
- Original threads always linked. The summary is the entry point; the discussion is the product.
- No clickbait. If a trend is boring, we say so. If it's hyped, we say that too.
